A whole-person, trauma-informed approach to therapy for women 18+.

Every method I use is intentionally chosen because trauma lives in both in your body throughout your nervous system and inside your thinking mind. Both are equally important parts for healing and we do this work by integrating them into the process.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

EMDR helps your brain process memories held in the mind and the body that got "stuck" — even the ones that happened years ago, and even if you can’t quite remember what exactly happened. Through guided eye movements, tapping, or sound, we help your brain do what it naturally does with most memories over time that it couldn't do with the trapped memories on its own. You don't have to narrate every detail of what happened for this to work. EMDR is one of the most researched, evidence-based treatments for trauma available.

Somatic Therapy & Somatic EMDR

Trauma isn't only stored as a memory — it's stored in the body, as patterns of tension, bracing, and reactivity that happen faster than conscious thought. Somatic work brings the body into the process directly: noticing sensation, releasing held tension, and helping your nervous system complete responses it never got to finish. Paired with EMDR, this becomes Somatic EMDR — processing what happened both in memory and in the body at the same time. This is used best for Complex Trauma and CPTSD.

Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness

Mindfulness isn't about clearing your mind or forcing calm. It's about building your capacity to stay present with difficult sensations and emotions without becoming overwhelmed by them — a skill can erode over time when traumatic events happen again and again. This groundwork makes the deeper work possible, and it's something you'll able to use on your own long after our work together ends.

How these work together

We don't use one method in isolation. Mindfulness builds the capacity to stay present. Somatic work addresses what's held in the body. EMDR processes the moments still driving your reactions today. Used together, they treat the whole picture — not just the story of what happened, but how it's still living in you. This integrative and whole-person approach is the key unlocking what’s been stuck for so long.

A Note on What This Work Isn't

When discussing difficult relationships and people in your life, please know this is not a place for me to diagnose these individuals — I'm not able to assess someone who isn't my client, and this work isn't about labeling them. It's about understanding your experience, your nervous system's responses, and helping you build a life and (if applicable) a coparenting relationship that protects your peace, regardless of what the other person does.
