You’re not crazy. You’re surviving.

You're not too sensitive. You're not making it a bigger deal than it is. And you're not crazy for feeling the effects of a relationship that others don’t understand.

This is for you if…

You keep replaying moments in the relationship, trying to figure out if what happened was real.
You second-guess your own memory of what happened or what was said and question if you’re the crazy one.
Apologies and minimizing your experience is how you repair a situation, even if you didn’t do anything wrong.
Your exhaustion and “on edge” feelings around this person doesn’t make sense to other people who haven’t met them, or have met a polished version of the difficult person in your life.
You feel foggy-brained and tired, even after making the hard decision to separate yourself from this person.

What we actually do

Narcissistic abuse doesn’t leave the kind of evidence other trauma does. There’s not a single incident to point to- it’s all confusing, it’s all bad, it’s all exhausting. But when it’s good, it feels really good. Not because they are treating you so well, but often because the fighting stops temporarily, and you see the potential in them that you hold onto until the next thing happens.

The thousands of tiny cuts in trust are so gradual that by the time you noticed it, you’ve already stopped trusting yourself. And this is where therapy comes in. We’re not treating what happened. We’re addressing what it did to your ability to trust yourself.

We use mindfulness to build capacity and the thing that was taken first: our ability to trust what you are feeling, in real time, without needing someone else to confirm it. Nervous system regulation is paired with this work of creating more internal capacity because this doesn’t just live in your mind. It manifests throughout the body. Then we incorporate EMDR to process through memories and moments that are held in the mind and body. You do not need to worry if you cannot recall specific memories or have suppressed memory. This will not hinder your ability to move through what needs to be processed out.

What changes

You stop bracing
You stop replying conversations of how you could have said it differently
You begin trusting your own intuition
You have more space for the things you love
Setting healthy boundaries becomes easier
You feel lighter and more at peace
